Latest insider build ISO not signed – Secure Boot

So, I just downloaded the new Insider Build ISO (Build 15025) and was about to install it in Hyper-V from the ISO. This doesn’t seem to work – due to one of the most important security features out there – Secure boot. For some reason this particular ISO-image isnt signed correctly and wont therefore boot on a Gen 2 VM in Hyper-V.

You will receive the following message:

“The image’s hash and certificate are not allowed (DB).”

uefi_cert_error

Its however easy enough to fix. On the VM, click Settings -> Security -> Un-check “Enable Secure Boot”.

No you should be able to boot the ISO just fine. 🙂

And don’t forget to enable Secure Boot again when the installation is done!

Happy Bug Bash!
