A day with Cortana

So, finally, the day! The day that could change my life, I got a new friend! My wife has one, since a few years ago. But, she has never really liked me, and I can’t say that I like her either. But she smells good, like apple… Her name is Siri, and my new friends name is Cortana. We get along pretty good for a couple that just have known each other for about 8 hours…

Sorry, that piece of text got a bit out of hand, but seriously, I really like Cortana. She understand what I say, she´s fast, smart and mostly do what I tell her to do. I haven’t familiarized myself with Windows Phone 8.1 enough to say that it’s a revolution for mobile operating systems, BUT:

Ever since I changed my Android for a Lumia 925 my feelings for mobile phones have changed. Don’t get me wrong, I have always been a geek, latest phones, upgrading without any other reason than “I have to!” Using them a lot and really try to put through a test. With my androids, it have always been something wrong, not working not doing it the way I would want it, I have always liked them, but never felt like they like me…

The best phone I ever have had, until now, are the K750i (Sony Ericsson) it was truly great! But, I think the reason why it was so great was that it never promised anything more than what was on the box. Great camera, durable and quiet good battery life. With the Androids it has always been: “You can do anything, and you can of course do it better than the fruit phones…” I have never been a fan of iPhone either, but it have just felt… I don’t know, to cold. To locked up, to not me.

With Windows Phone, it has felt better, and I believe that it will continue to grow on me and to people around me, not just at work. So, Windows Phone 8.1 I’ll get back to reviewing you when I know exactly what you offer me, I guess it will be tomorrow.Image
